PODTech Internship Pathway: Learn to build websites for free!
PODTech is a Community Interest Company that helps excluded individuals and entrepreneurs build and learn digital skills. We have many pathways to help teach these digital skills and the most recent one I want to talk to you about today is the PODTech Internship.
The PODTech Internship is a three-month, part-time internship that helps teach youth tech skills and how to build websites. Throughout the internship programme, you will learn how to create a website using wirefraiming techniques to design, layout and structure sites. You will also learn digital marketing skills to help you market and drive traffic to that website.
The websites you will be building will be for excluded enterepenures that we support. These could be individuals that come from low-income families, ex-offenders, people going through recovery, or even from excluded communities within the Oxfordshire area.
The internship is part-time and flexible to fit it around your studies. You will be initially paired up with a client and have a brief consultation with them and find out what they need from their business. Then you will start wirefraiming, designing, building a website and finally launching it and delivering it to the client.
Not only the good skills you will be learning in the internship, but you will also be helping out these communities and to build their financial independence so they can start to create their own income and move forwards to create a positive future.
