Introduction to Saltwater Ambitions
In early 2017, an opportunity for a new aquarium build presented itself to lifetime aquarium hobbyist and Saltwater Ambitions project founder Brian Howell. Knowing that this would be his last aquarium project, it was clear that it needed to be more than just an ordinary build, it needed to be an experience.
In May of 2017, the Saltwater Ambitions project was born, and went from concept to reality when Mr. Howell collaborated with CustomAquariums.com to design and build the main display and stand, as well as some of the sump and overflow equipment in use today. With many vendors in the marketplace, CustomAquariums.com offered a unique product. Featuring an anodized aluminum frame, and elite manufacturing process (with both high quality materials and craftsmanship) they were unmatched by the other competition considered. The combination of industrial grade products, and show level aesthetics offered exactly what the project called for.
In an effort to make the experience of the project as complete and fulfilling as possible, Brian made the decision to allow Saltwater Ambitions to serve as an opportunity for sharing, education, and enjoyment. Those three concepts make up the core values and drivers that determine each action taken and decision made to date.
