Read twice as FAST with a simple hack
A few weeks ago I discovered in Word a button which allows me to listen to the text that is on my screen. It may have been there before but somehow I never noticed it. But this time, I gave it a try and it blew my mind by how useful it was. The important thing about is not only that I can change the speed of reading, increasing it dramatically, but also that the words that are being read are highlighted on the screen, drawing my eyes along with them. This highlighting feature essentially forces my eyes to move across the text significantly faster than usual. Seeing the text and listening to it at higher speed allows me to understand everything in it and, at the same time, to save a lot of time. It is better than listening to podcasts and audio books at higher speed because I can also watch the text and this allows me to "read" at an even higher speed. This hack has been a major improvement to my working productivity and now I am using it pretty much every day. I only regret not having heard about it earlier.
