Easy Barn Insulation
Jeff with @barnandhome gives a really quick walk-through on how to get your own barn insulated.
Due to supply issues and trying to spray foam in cold temps, we opted to use a 1" foam board and batt insulation to create an R24 value in this new storage shop.
The ceiling will eventually get liner panel and blown cellulose with an R value of 40.
White foam board - or any other color really, is easy to find, and you can cut it to fit in between the wall purlins. We then used cans of spray foam to seal each joint and sprayed behind every post and in the corners of the building. This was to create as best of an air-tight seal as we could. The barn already had house wrap.
This 30x40x10 building was fully insulated with the foam board and rolls of 4' wide batt insulation by a 5 man crew in 6 hours.
