Hi Friends!
Welcome to another video! Today I am taking you through the process of painting a colorful Haunted Forest. I tried to paint in a more impressionistic style this time. I really wanted the final piece to come out as magical and whimsical. In this colorful paint with me, I illustrate a silhouette figure walking into a forest of ghosts. In the video I also share a short poem I wrote while coming up with the idea.
I started this painting with a magenta and pink under painting. I first saw lilstarnerd do this a while back on her channel and since then I have done it quite a few times. It is a great way to start a painting, and quickly get rid of that fear of the blank page.
I continued the no voiceover editing style that I saw in Chris Hong’s Café Hop videos. I used this in my last video as well. This time I’ve been sick and have lost my voice, so it was out of necessity.
I am using Holbein Acrylic Gouache on Gesso Board. My sketch was done in my Strathmore Mixed media sketchbook.
