"Mother- no, Eva. I won't let you die... I swear."
Vergil stood at the sandy bridge that led to where Eva, the successor of the throat was. Though Eva couldn't possibly be his real mother, Vergil sees her as one. Her soft and gentle voice echoes around him, reminding him of memories from his childhood, where his mother (also named Eva) would sing to both him and his brother.
Now, he has been given a chance to do what he had hoped he could've done back in that horrifying tragedy. He will now save Eva.
