How to set computer to turn off at certain time windows 10
In this video I will show you how to shut down your windows 10 computer at a specific time. For example, when you are too busy with your job and your computer is running a download and this will not finish when you leave. In that time you must follow one of these two methods to shut down your computer automatically.
Now I am showing you the first method.
Go to the windows search option and type Task Scheduler. Double click on this task scheduler option. Using this task scheduler we can schedule our specific time to shut down computer automatically.
In this task scheduler window, we will see create basic task. Click on this and create a new basic task.
Please provide a Action name. In my case I have provided “Shutdown” as action name. Then just hit on the next button.
In this task trigger option, you have to choose when you will execute the task. For instance you can choose daily, weekly, monthly, one time. In my case, I select one time. Again hit the next button and then adjust your time and date when you want to shut down your computer.
After selecting time, click on the next button and then select start a program. Please leave a name for this one time program like me. Also write this text in add argument box /s /f /t 0. Please maintain the spacing between the characters. Then hit the next button again. Finally, click on the finish button. After completion this process your computer will shut down at the specific time that you have set.
If you think this is time consuming method for you then there is another shortcut method for you also.
In this method go to the search option of your windows 10 computer and type RUN. In the run command prompt, you have to write a command to execute this operation. Write here shutdown –s –t 600. Here 600 means after 600 seconds my computer will shut down automatically. You have to maintain space between characters. Otherwise it will not execute. I just do not maintain the space of the command to show you what will happen for this. After completion of the process your computer will shut down at the exact time.
