El Nido has been named a number of times by travel publication sites as the best island beaches in the world because of its paradise-like attractions with white sand, turquoise waters, vibrant coral reefs, and stunning limestone cliffs.
El Nido the gateway to the awe-inspiring Bacuit Archipelago which houses 45 islands and islets, each with its unique geological formations. It’s no wonder that El Nido has been ranked consistently as one of the best island destinations not just in the Philippines, but in the world.
Go Island-Hopping
El Nido's main highlight is its pristine islands, beaches, lagoons, and caves, which you can explore by booking island-hopping tours. These are full-day tours that include boat transfers, lunch, and guides. The tours are grouped into four, namely Tour A, Tour B, Tour C, and Tour D. These are available for private, and joiner/shared tours.
For joiner/shared tours, you will be grouped with other travelers in one boat. This way, you won't have to worry about shelling out extra cash for the fees to cover the entire tour. Opinions vary on which island-hopping tour offers the best value for money.
While all the spots in El Nido have their charm, travelers usually recommend Tour A or C for first-time visitors.
It’s best to book El Nido tours in advance before your arrival, especially if you're going during peak season. You can also rent kayaks from your tour operator for an additional fee. They will board the kayak on the boat, and you can use them any time during the tour.
