HOW TO LEARN ENGLISH THROUGH PODCASTS EFFECTIVELY:
1. First listen – LEARN (Watching the video):
Listen while reading the subtitles (both English and Vietnamese)
Goal: Understand the content, get familiar with the vocabulary and pronunciation
This step builds the foundation — don’t skip it!
2. One day later – CHALLENGE (Don't watch the video):
Listen to the podcast again WITHOUT looking at the screen (turn off the screen/turn away/close your eyes)
IMPORTANT: Do NOT look at the subtitles — use only your ears!
Goal: Train your real listening ability. This is the most important step.
It will be harder than the first time — that’s normal and necessary for your brain to learn how to listen.
3. Third listen – CHECK (With video):
Watch again with subtitles to check what you understood
Goal: Fill in the gaps and see your improvement
Repeat steps 2–3 until you understand 100%
Optional:
Download the PDF containing vocabulary lists and transcripts to review after step 3
Practice pronunciation by shadowing (imitating the voice); do this in step 1 or 3, not step 2
Once you’re more advanced, try listening BEFORE looking at the subtitles to challenge yourself further.
