Avatar 3 is an upcoming American epic science fiction film directed, written, co-produced, and co-edited by James Cameron.[2] It is the third film in Cameron's Avatar franchise, and a sequel to Avatar: The Way of Water (2022).
Other Avatar 3 updates state that the film aims to also carry on the Sully family’s story, with Stephen Lang’s Colonel Quaritch serving as the third film’s primary antagonist once more alongside Oona Chaplin's Varanga. Cameron’s plans for Avatar 3 are more solidified since the sequel was filmed simultaneously with Avatar: The Way of Water, with motion-capture performances for Avatar 3 and parts of Avatar 4 completed all the way back in 2018. What’s more, Avatar 3 updates confirm it's expected to explore new parts of Pandora, as well as new clans of Na’vi, branching out further than ever before.
