In this video we will understand what is DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) Relay and see how to configure DHCP relay in Cisco router.
So first we will understand what is DHCP relay or DHCP relay agent which is used to assign automatic IP addresses to network system from a remote DHCP Server and how it works using a internetwork scenario/diagram
then we will understand how IP address is assigned to any DHCP client using DHCP process which is DORA (Discover, Offer, Request, Acknowledgement) process.
Then we will configure DHCP relay on router and finally we will test and verify the configuration that IP addresses have been assigned to network systems from remote DHCP server.
