DRIVING Over MONTEAGLE, Tennessee! Interstate 24 EASTBOUND
In this video, we drive Interstate 24 East through Monteagle, TN. Tennessee is such a beautiful state with so much to see, and Monteagle is a great way to see quite a bit! Monteagle is actually part of the Cumberland Plateau. This is one of the most beautiful stretches I have driven, and the views change depending on what season you drive through. Monteagle Mountain, although not official, was a name given to the path of Interstate 24 near Monteagle, Tennessee. Monteagle rises to around 1,900 feet (or 600 m), with grades of 4% to 6%. This run of Interstate 24 can be very dangerous. The steep climb can be taxing on engines and transmissions, and the descend can be dangerous if the driver rides their brakes.
