The 6 jaw chuck is a very useful tool, but not so good at high speed. There is a substantial difference in strength between a 6in chuck at the 8" size, but the 8" 6 jaw is too large for the 10ee.
This older chuck could come apart on the later machine with 4000 rpm top speed, and that would not be good.
