DIY GoPro Hero 3 Mini-USB External Microphone Cable (No housing modification required)
This video shows my custom-made mini-USB external microphone cable for the GoPro Hero 3. This cable can be used with the closed and opened (diving) housing - no modification of the housing is required.
For means of comparison the audio quality is compared in four scenarios: internal microphone with/without housing, external microphone with original GoPro cable and custom DIY cable, and audio recorded with a TASCAM audio recorder.
