This video shows my semi-automatic slide scanner for digitizing old photo slides. The scanner uses a Sony DSLR camera which is triggered by an Arduino-controlled light bridge. The construction allows you to capture 30 (or even more) slides per minute with high resolution. Post processing, like cropping, can also be automated (e.g. in Lightroom) because slides are always positioned at the same place.

As a light source a SandMarc LED light (https://www.sandmarc.com/products/bi-...) is used. This battery-powered light allows you to adjust the brightness and color temperature and is very bright.
