Well built, 15.1 hh, easy to keep and gets along with other horses. Currently at a boarding facility in a paddock with 3 other horses, a roofed shelter and hay. No daily grain needed to keep muscle and weight.
Will walk or trot up and meet you at the gate, easy to catch. He’s always ready and wanting to be picked to ride. He likes people and animals and enjoys being petted, brushed and given attention.
He gaits naturally very well and is smooth and responsive. Neck reins, direct reins, moves off of leg contact, and also verbal cues. Polite and patient ground manners. Picks up all 4 feet easily for hoof picking. Stands nice for farrier to trim and shoe (hot or cold setting).
Has been trailered to single day trail rides as well as overnight camping. He stalls, tie lines, trailer ties, or portable fence – he respects and does good with camping and travel. He trailers and travels well. Has also been trailered to multiple indoor arenas for single or multi-day events.
Ridden on multiple trail rides with wide and narrow trails in North Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin including water crossings, bridges, deep sand, deep mud, rocky & highly technical trails with steep hills.
He rides nicely with dogs, other horses, or alone. No buck, kick, or bite.
No health issues, UTD on farrier 5/1/20 (has front shoes- although not required; has also had all 4 shoes for extended, rocky trail rides).
Coggins and Vaccines done on 3/29/2020 including EWT/WNL/Flu/Rhino, Stangles, Rabies and Potomic Horse Fever. Teeth float and sheath clean on 4/20/19.
