In nature, everything has a cycle. Be it the changing of the leaves, waters journey from liquid to vapor, or the rotation of the earth, nature is in an ever-changing state of growth and decay. Therein lies a simple yet powerful story of the outdoors and our place in it. These cycles, timeless and unrelenting, are more apparent than ever to me from the perspective of one of my favorite lookouts in the Lower Buffalo National River of Northern Arkansas.
