February 6th 2023, a date that will be remembered in Turkey by many. Since more than four months I'm on a journey from Austria, mostly by hitchhiking. I’m heading East from and let the road and its people show me the way. Just when we hit the southern coast of Turkey, my new friend Tom and I awoke to the news of a terrible earthquake that hit southeast Turkey. We decided to go there to see where we can help.
My deepest condolences to those who have been affected by the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria this February.
Thank you Tom, Asya, Hamit, Aslan, Samet, Beste, Efe, Baran, Berat, all volunteers, Uğur, Atlas,
friends and workers of Sandık Cafe and all the incredible people I met during this chapter,
bus drivers, those strangers who have lost everything and still show unbelievable kindness.
