In this video, we continue exploring Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) for the CCNA 200-301 course. We discuss how to change interface costs to influence the STP path selection process. Additionally, we cover several optional STP features: PortFast, which quickly transitions ports to the forwarding state for end devices; BPDU Guard, which disables PortFast-enabled ports upon receiving BPDUs to prevent loops; BPDU Filter, which suppresses BPDU transmission and reception on specified ports; Root Guard, which protects the root bridge from being changed by external switches; and Loop Guard, which prevents loops by keeping ports in a consistent state when BPDUs are lost. These features enhance network stability and security.
