At the end of last year, the successful compact SUV from the Volkswagen Group underwent a comprehensive overhaul. The powerful R version also received an update. Anyone hoping for more power in the new model will be disappointed by the facelift. Under the hood, as before, is the 2.0-liter TSI engine with a maximum output of 221 kW (300 hp) and a maximum torque of 400 Nm. The facelift even completes the sprint to 100 km/h slightly slower than its predecessor. Nevertheless, the little Wolfsburg car is a real fun machine that can only just hold a candle to its sibling, the Golf R, in terms of driving dynamics.
