A Fascinating Look into the Diary of an Essex Boy.

Having read most of Bernard O’Mahoney‘s books, I really didn’t know what to expect with this new biographical book. But to say that I was overjoyed, is an understatement. People reading the title of the book could be quick to surmise that this is yet another book on the gruesome Range Rover murders, however, they would be wrong. After the horrific slayings in December 1995, we finally find out, what really did happen to the rest of the Essex boys?
“Escaping Perpetual Insanity: Diary of an Essex Boy”, starts off after the murders took place, and takes a diary-like look at the events at what happened next. The author takes us on a journey of crime, beatings, accusations and even more murders. This insightful book also gives the reader a fascinating, closer look into the life of Bernard O’Mahoney, his ups, his downs, the good and the bad. Never before has the author been so open about his life, from trying to go straight, to his daily struggles while serving time in prison, will truly be an eye-opener. Brutal and honest, I truly consider it to be one of the best true-crime books of the year. Highly recommend.
