Configure the Transformer
Place the Transformer component from the Proteus library in your schematic.
Double-click the transformer to open its properties.
Set the Primary and Secondary Inductances to achieve the required step-down ratio:
Calculate the Inductance Ratio:
The voltage ratio is =Primary Voltage/Secondary Voltage=230/12≈19.17
The inductance ratio is the square of the voltage ratio:
Lprimary/Lsecondary=(19.17)X(19.17)=367.5
Primary Inductance (𝐿primary)=367.5H
Secondary Inductance (𝐿secondary)=1H
If using a center-tapped transformer, connect the center tap of the secondary winding to ground.
