What a Crackpot Wildcamp movie
Its been a while since myself and my grandson Jack has been out for a wildcamp. Many things have changed since we last went out together. I lost my son Lee and my dad Bill within two months of each other last year, Which has been a traumatic time for the family. However some good news, Jack has since got married and his wife Ell is having a baby. So myself and jack decided that we will go wildcamping before the baby is born. I decided to pick the beautiful area of Swaledale in North Yorkshire, as I know this place well . I've been to this area many a time but never wildcamped.
In this video we shall have a stroll along the river Swale, with Jacks dog Rory, a 14month old golden retriever which is scared of his own shadow lol.. and go higher up on the hillside to check out the abandoned ` Crackpot hall` and ill give you a bit of history about this place . The weather app said that we should expect around 3% rain and a wind of 10-15 mile per hour. It didn't quite turn out like that though . lol. I try out some new lapel microphones that didn't go down to well, so apologies for the wind noise. I also try out a new tent called the Bobcat 1, and i`ll let you know how I got on with it.
