Water in Focus - EU corporate reporting policy
While Europe is largely considered as having adequate water resources, water scarcity and drought is an increasingly frequent and widespread phenomenon in the European Union. In 2007 the EU recognised the challenge of water scarcity and droughts in Europe, as demand continues to outstrip supply. However, across Europe policies on water can vary, resulting in differing approaches and a lack of concerted action to galvanise change.
