Shoot for Syria 2014
One Nation Archery Club (ONAC), took the challenge of shooting 15,000 arrows in Luton - Denbigh High School on the 19th of July, 2014. This was a sponsored event to raise money for the project Pound A Week (poundaweek.org.uk).
The money this year was raised for Syria, hence the title "Shoot for Syria". The money was raised for the charity Ummah Welfare Trust (UWT). The money will go towards supporting the orphans, widows, medical rations, hospitals and tents for accommodation.
The 15 archers from ONAC took approx. 6.5 hours to complete the 1000 arrows each event.
Alhumdulliah ONAC with the support of all their contacts were able to raise a total of £42,000.
