Crafting TCP/IP DOS Boot Disks for Retro Networking Adventures
Let's dive into the world of vintage DOS Networking.
Today I'm creating myself a set of DOS boot disks, from 360k to 1.44M, supporting the essentials with some DOS packet drivers, Michael Brutman's mTCP and Trumpet's TCP for DOS.
I'll briefly touch the intricacies of IRQs, IO address configurations, in preparation to my upcoming episode, where I'll be building a retro 10Base2 ethernet network.
And these boot floppies will definitely come in handy as a diagnostics aid once I'm starting that journey!
