Tec de Monterrey (Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey) uses certificates in order to authenticate and connect to their WiFi network. They're available for Android, MacOS, Windows and other such mainstream OSs, but not GNU/Linux.
There is, however, a way to get a GNU/Linux system connected to Tec's network, which requires filling some info on network settings.
The settings are as follows:
- -
WiFi Security: WPA & WPA2 Enterprise
Authentication: Protected EAP (PEAP)
Anonymous Identity: Tec
Domain: wireless.itesm.mx
CA certificate: none (No CA certificate required)
PEAP version: Automatic
Inner Authentication: MSCHAPV2
Username: yourIDhere
Password: yourpassword
