Coherent | WaveMaker 4000A Programmable Optical Spectrum Synthesizer at ECOC 2023
The WaveMaker, shown in this demonstration, is an Optical Spectrum Synthesizer designed to provide comb test signals to support DWDM system tests and testing modules like optical amplifiers. The WaveMaker instrument series is a highly integrated instrumentation unit that lowers the cost of testing optical communications products, from components to systems. The WaveMaker is built on liquid-crystal-on-silicon (LCoS) technology – ideal for generating comb spectra and combining them with modulated signals from external sources to generate a wide range of test cases.
