Minimalist DC Boost Converter

I made two changes to the design. First I substituted a BC557 for the BC327 because I didn't see the need for a higher current timing transistor. I did however keep the BC337 as it was the driver transistor and for the final design needs to sink at least 300mA peak. Secondly I omitted the rectifying stage which is supposed to produce higher efficiency, but for my project size was the priority. I also haven't seen any videos or formal tests on the addition of that stage.
Also it's not as bright in person. My phone tends to overexpose in high light and eat shit in low light.
