360° Total Eclipse 8-21-17 Cascade Idaho
This video is a time-lapse composite stretched out to real time during the eclipse. Frames were captured every 10 seconds on a Ricoh Theta S 360 camera. In the original frames, the eclipse was over exposed and blown out. After Effects was used to composite a photo taken of totality at the time over the footage to better match what was seen in person during totality.
The "chirping" sound in the audio is the Ricoh camera capturing frames.
At the bottom of the panoramic view, you can see the progression of the eclipse captured in real time from a separate camera.
