Skelm is an afrotech DJ and producer born in the vibrant city of Johannesburg, South Africa, he is a rising force in the scene, whose journey into music began at the tender age of 14, DJing at his school canteen. He was first introduced to Afro Tech at a small street festival in Johannesburg, a sound that would forever change the trajectory of his career and lifelong passion for music. Skelm is characterised by a unique afrotech sound and style and advanced technical skills on decks. He values a love for music and genuineness above all else and it’s clearly paying off; from his first gig in 2022, he has grown quickly and since then he’s played at some of the most prominent festivals and clubs across South Africa. Skelm released his debut single 'Isizwe' in December 2023 with close friend Casis, and followed it up with Ekuseni in 2024 on Deep In Your Soul records. Skelm has his sights on the horizon, having played his first few international gigs with more to come.
