HOW TO HANG RECORDS
I heard your cries for help and I’m gonna show you how to do it for just a little more than 2 bucks per record.

Our goal is something that looks like this … A collection of your most treasured albums, perfectly space, AND easy to remove & replace if you wanna play one.

Here’ s everything you’ll need , 2 types of command products: the wire hook type and the sturdier stainless steel tab hooks. Check out the product links below to get ‘em at a great price. I’m gonna attach ‘em in a certain way for records. You’ll need a level, a ruler, yard stick or tape measure, and a number 2 pencil.

Now the command products are built to hang tight, so I’m not worried about my Jim Croce albums. And the unattractive parts of these command hooks will be hidden by the record album. Only the shiny metal parts will be seen and I’ve found they blend in nicely because they sort of reflect the colors of the album. Like a chameleon.

I’ll be using this 24 inch level, and it’s got a ruler on it, but yours doesn’t have to be as big and as fancy as mine as long as you can use yours well, because this has to be a level project from beghiing to end.

So we’re gonna start by drawin’ nice level line here. Check your bubble, make sure she’s level!
And a record by the way, in my case it’s a 33 RPM LP, .. those measure 12 and a quarter inches. Yours might be different. Maybe your’e puttin’ up 45’s or whatever, but the principle’s the same. I’m gonna draw a line that’s plenty long. But we’re only gonna use , by the way, 12 and a quarter inches of it. Cause I’m just gonna show ya how to hang one record for now.

So wer’e gonna make a mark at 2 inches.. and then at 10 and a quarter inches. Man I’m parched after all that work.

So every record is 12 and a quarter inches across. … by making a mark at 2 inches and 10 and a quarter inches, that’s gonna help the album look centered on the hardware, cause each command hook will be 2 inches from either side. And don’t worry if you’re off by a little … because these supports really blend in from a distance and as long as they are LEVEL, well that’s the most important part.
