Maniac and cannibal/cannibal Nikolai Espolovich Dzhumagaliev (born November 15, 1952, in Uzung-Agach, Almaty Region, Kazakh SSR, USSR) was a Soviet serial killer and cannibal, also known as "Metal Fang," convicted of murdering seven people in the Kazakh SSR (now the Republic of Kazakhstan) between 1979 and 1980.
Dzhumagaliev killed and ate at least nine people, mostly women, living in the Almaty Region. He was found insane by a court and was incarcerated in a psychiatric hospital for forced treatment until his escape in 1989. He was recaptured two years later and is currently serving his sentence.
