The Pine (Short Film)
One day in our school, we were informed by our English teacher about making an assignment for the sake of 10 extra points as credit for our grade. She said it had to do with Literature, and since 'drama' is a part of literature, we took advantage of our film making experience and set out to make a short film for her. This took us 3 hours to film and 7 hours to edit. No scripts, just a few ideas based on an actual life experience one of us had.

In this short, we focus on a teen named Jacob walking home from school, where he unusually finds an odd shaped pine cone in the middle of the street. As he checks it out and all, somehow it lead him to its home where the mother load of pine cones existed. Unfortunately, some paranormal existence existed in that forest and sooner or later he realized those pine cones were all organised in what appeared to be a colony. They have accepted him as their leader, however some did not approve and unleashed a horrifying presence to chase him. And so he was being haunted by them, being driven out.
Though this is a corney yet hilarious plot, it comes with more than one version, but you decide which one you prefer. |Spoiler Warning| I'm now referring about the end: Jacob either saw his fate within the pine cone at the beginning, or he saw a preserved memory to which has happened long ago. There are other versions you can count on, and so you'll take over from there.
The Major point of this short film was to give out Laughter and Suspiciousness through out the plot. And of course gain extra credit from our Teacher to add on our grades. Nevertheless, enjoy what you can and thanks for watching.
