HEC-RAS 2D: Frequency Storm Flood Modeling -T1
In this tutorial, I have generated a 2D flood model using the HEC-RAS software, incorporating Atlas-14 frequency storms. The steps include setting up the computational mesh, defining boundary conditions, and calibrating the model. I have also demonstrated how to simulate various storm scenarios to assess flood extents and depths and how to analyze the results for flood risk management. This comprehensive approach allows for detailed floodplain mapping and aids in developing effective flood mitigation strategies.
