The best time to go for work out, is in afternoon before work!
It’s advisable, to go for workout once you have had some sleep, so you would feel a bit recharged.
Working out before bed, can raise your core temperature, making it more difficult to fall asleep!
Practice Healthy Sleep Hygiene
If you work a night shift, schedule your sleep time so that you wake up close to the start of your next shift rather than falling asleep right away when you get home.
The "split nap" schedule, has also been shown to be effective in studies!
When you get home from work, you should sleep for a few hours before staying awake and taking a long nap that ends close to the start of your next shift.
A nap taken midway through the day has been shown to boost and restore brainpower. Even naps of 20 to 45 minutes in length have proven beneficial for shift workers to counteract fatigue.
Watch your eating habits.
During the shift, stay hydrated! water is best.
If at all possible, avoid eating between the hours of midnight and 6 a.m., and if you must eat during the night, choose low-calorie, protein-rich snacks rather than grazing.
Finally, eat a nutritious breakfast before going to bed during the day so you don't wake up hungry.
If you work a night shift, eat your "main meal" between 5 and 6 p.m. before leaving.
Then, throughout the night, have a small additional meal and snacks.
Eating a large meal late at night, can also cause stomach problems.
