Haunted by Daylight is a limited time Halloween event in dead by daylight that brings new cosmetics, challenges, and mechanics to the game. Survivors and killers can collect void energy by completing their objectives as well as finding void orbs and smashing pumpkins around the map. They can then enter the void through a rift, turning that energy into new abilities. Survivors gain a void crystal they can shatter, obscuring vision in a sphere around it while killers gain the abilities to send a haunt to chase after survivors.
Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical horror game where one killer goes head to head with four survivors. The killer’s goal is to chase down each survivor, injuring them and sacrificing them on hooks. The survivors goal is to repair generators around the map to power the exit gates and escape from the killer. Both sides have access to unique items, powers, addons, offerings, and perks to aid them, making each trial a different experience.
