The Glue Compressor is actually modeled after the compressors built into these legendary mixing boards found in recording studios. That is why the parameters that you can change are so similar, along with the specific values of each parameter.
The SSL Analog compressor comes at a high price tag - could run you around $3,000 on Reverb.com. The Glue Compressor, on the other hand, comes free with Ableton.
