I just built an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X Video Editing PC build 2020 edition! I got tired of my laptop because I couldn't even screen capture my programming content for long periods of time. Also my computer would choke on editing and exporting videos which is a major turn-off. I can tell you from making this video in Davinci Resolve on my new PC that it was able to handle a 50 minute long video no problem!
When wanting to build a video editing pc the only components you want to dump money into are the CPU and RAM. Don't worry about getting a fancy GPU, its honestly not worth getting one over $200. Looking back I probably should have bought a cheaper GPU around $100 and put the money I saved towards a Ryzen 9 3900X CPU. Don't get me wrong the Ryzen 7 3700X is plenty powerful, but you can get faster exporting times!
