The sun rose this morning, my second day alone out here, and somehow, i'm still alive.
If history has taught me anything through this post apocalyptic nightmare, it's that the zombies get all wound up by the seventh day of the week, and no matter how hard you try and hide, they tend to know where to look.
That was much easier when there was a group of us, but now I'm out here all alone, things are going to be a lot tougher. I can really only hope that there aren't that many zombies in this neck of the woods.
I managed to cobble together a functional forge from scrap parts i scrounged up, and gave it a test overnight, so at least things are looking up. I'm feeling pretty safe up here in the loft of this old barn, but i will really need to fortify it before I get too comroftable.
With the new day I'm going to try and make my way towards the trader, see if I can't pick up something in exchange for all these gold and silver nuggets I found.
I can only hope...
