Imagine you are walking down the street and someone hands you a cable to pass to a worker. ‘Be careful’ he says ‘This is a live wire’. Would you do that? Watch the clip.
The moral here is that our default setting is to obey people in authority. If students see you as one, they are more likely to follow your instructions and less likely to play up. And if they do, you can always pass them that cable…
