In this clip from our VHLife VH600 review, we cover one of the most important parts of any hydrogen inhalation and hydrogen water machine: safety and maintenance.
For PEM/SPE-based pure hydrogen systems, safety and ease of maintenance are major advantages when the device is engineered properly. In general, these systems keep hydrogen and oxygen separated inside the electrolysis assembly, which helps the delivered hydrogen remain clean and free from electrolyte contamination. Because no combustible hydrogen-oxygen mixture travels through the internal gas path, well-designed pure H2 systems can carry a strong safety profile.
We also discuss the practical side of ownership. With well-engineered PEM/SPE systems, maintenance is typically straightforward: refill with distilled water as needed, clean or replace nasal cannulas, and drain/refill the system about once a month. At the same time, PEM/SPE cells do have a lifespan, and over time output can decline, which is one reason long-term serviceability matters.
