DISCLAIMER: This project is just a concept made with Blender, purely hypothetical, and not an actual game!
Hello! I have been working on a concept for a Super Smash Bros. Game on the original DS system. Today I completed the first stage, and made a little diorama with the characters that I have completed.
The whole scene, including the characters, render at a little under 2200 polys, which exceeds the Nintendo DS' poly limit of 2048 triangles. However, this amount does not account for frustrum culling, a technique used to hide polys from that are not visible to the camera's perspective. With that addition, I hope to reduce the polycount by at least 1/3rd.
The premise of this project is a scenario in which a Smash game was released in the year 2005. I chose that year because I wanted to fill in the gap between Melee and Brawl. I bear huge nostalgia for the original DS and Low-Poly graphics. This won't be an actual game. It's purely just a concept. If you haven't seen the other stuff that I made for this, they are up on my Channel!
