Australian Visa Update for Pharmacists | Part 1: Minimum Requirements for Western Australia
Are you a pharmacist planning to migrate to Australia? If you've already completed your skills assessment and English proficiency test, this video is for you!
In this video, we dive into the latest update from the Government of Western Australia's Department of Training and Workforce Development, specifically designed for global pharmacists looking for visa options.
This video covers everything you need to know about the State Nominated Migration Program (SNMP) and the two main visa options: the Skilled Nominated Visa (subclass 190) and the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (subclass 491). We break down the details of each visa and the points they can add to your application:
Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190): Adds 5 points to your application.
Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 491): Adds 15 points to your application.
Key Requirements:
Meet Department of Home Affairs Eligibility Criteria: Ensure you satisfy all the visa subclass requirements.
Nominated Occupation: Your occupation must be listed on the relevant occupation list.
English Language Proficiency: You need to meet the minimum English requirements.
Work Experience: At least one year of Australian or overseas work experience in the same occupation.
Employment Contract: You must have a full-time employment contract in Western Australia for a minimum of six months in your nominated occupation.
Qualification: Obtain a Certificate III or above from an accredited Western Australian educational institution.
Graduate Stream Requirements: You must meet all study-related requirements under the graduate stream.
While one year of experience is not mandatory for a subclass 491 visa, it is currently a requirement for a visa in Western Australia and a few other Australian states.
Watch till the end to fully understand the visa requirements and the pathways available to pharmacists. Whether you are aiming for subclass 190 or 491, this update will guide you through the process in simple terms.
