Fixing Compression Glitches: A before-and-after comparison
The situation: Ross Perot is speaking at a dinner and only later do you find out that your camera's SD card apparently has become corrupt. Every other frame of your video is useless. What do you do to save your video?
Step 1: Render out movie as 116,724 still frames
Step 2: Throw out all the odd frames
Step 3: Re-import 53,362 good frames at half the frame rate
Step 4: Use NeatVideo plug-in to clean up some of the remaining artifacts on all 53,362 frames (this takes a while)
Step 5: Don't ever use another rental camera from Cory's AV again
