The Spey Descent
The River Spey is one of Scotland’s classic whitewater trips.
Starting on Loch Inch in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park, the journey takes you through the striking Speyside countryside and provides plenty of exciting rapids, meandering river sections and distilleries to keep you entertained in your canoe.
There is something awe-inspiring about starting in the mountainous highlands of the Cairngorm National Park and finishing at the wide open expanse of the Moray Firth. By witnessing this progression of the land at the speed of the water, you gain a rich understanding of the diversity that Scotland has in a short distance.
The countryside is rich in heritage, flora and fauna. Besides it's famous malt whisky and salmon fishing the wildlife is ever present - red squirrels, otters, ospreys and dolphins may all be seen along the way.
