HP G62-G42 Laptop Motherboard Repair - No Power
In this video we repaired the motherboard of an HP laptop
The laptop model is Hp g62-460st
The motherboard model is daax1jmb8c0 rev:c
The problem with this laptop is that it does not work at all (dead)
We first conducted an initial physical examination of the motherboard. There were no traces of burns or damaged elements
After conducting the initial measurement, it was found that the main voltage line 19 volts was intact, and thus we got an idea that the fault is in one of the voltage regulation circuits
We then used the general diagram of the motherboard as well as the board view to find out the locations of the circuits that must be verified for their integrity
After that, we measured the impedances on all circuits to find out the presence of a short circuit on the 3-volt circuit and the integrity of all other circuits
We then dealt with this fault, tracked it, and discovered its cause in the simplest ways. We replaced the damaged element after finding it, and the device returned to work perfectly, thank God, as you will see in this lesson
