Meet textile artist and head designer, Madera Elena Rogers, who created Merely M.E. in 2010. Her first paper accessory, was a revolutionary piece of wearable art – both for the body and soul. Through Merely M.E.’s collection of “eco-conscious clothing ”, each piece celebrates individuality, true recycling and Madera’s vision of self-expression in the real world. Merely M.E.’s story encourages its consumers to celebrate as a global community the power of seeing – life, self, and the planet - differently.
ABOUT MERELY M.E.
The Merely M.E. was created in New York in 2010, and relocated to New Orleans in 2016. This lifestyle company produces clothing, shoes, jewelry, accessories, specialty greeting cards and hand-crafted gift pouches to serve as a tool to guide the curious consumers’ “green” journey.
With recycling as the key component to the crafting of our products, each item is handmade and thoughtfully designed to accentuate its wearers natural beauty – not to highlight problem areas and instill conformity. All jewelry, and accessories are made from at least 85% recycled paper products. Our packaging, and garment hang tags utilize 100% collected recycled products and have been acquired through our Recycle Rewards Program.
Through the recycling of donated paper products, Madera E. Rogers Designs LLC and Merely M.E. strive to make the unusable uniquely beautiful, and educate all about what it means to live consciously.
