In this video lesson from my computer courses for beginners, I talk about the most modern types of computers that a novice user needs to know.
Terms used in the video:
1. ECM – electronic computer
2. Computer – same as ECM
3. Personal computer (PC) – a computer with the characteristics of a household appliance
4. Stationary computer – same as a personal computer
5. Desktop computer – same as a personal computer
6. All-in-one PC – same as a personal computer, but combined with a monitor into a single design
7. Mobile computer – portable/wearable computing device
8. Mobile device – same as a mobile computer
9. Laptop – portable personal computer
10. Tablet (tablet computer) – full-size laptop, classified as a PC, equipped with a touchscreen (responsive to user touch)
11. PDA – pocket personal computer
12. Mobile phone – portable audio communication device
13. Smartphone – mobile phone, comparable in Functionality with a PDA
