Decided to edit this acting + action reel for my friend, Sandra Ma - One of China's leading young female actresses and winner of The Golden Horse Awards (best actress 2016, best supporting actress 2015).
Golden Horse Awards are equivalent to the Academy Awards for Asia.
Midway through the clip (2:16) we get into the action and stunt training.
For the movie, Time Raiders 《盗墓笔记》, I had the privilege
of training Sandra for close to 3 months. This was her first action movie. Every week we shot one "action clip" for fun at the end of training. We spent at most 10 minutes shooting. Whoever was around would help - either a stunt team member or sometimes her assistant. It was fun and also to get her used to working with the camera rolling (even if it was just an iPhone)!
